It has two handles to carry, and two snaps to keep it closed. The back panel has a large zippered pocket to store the fabric people and pets. 
 
This unique fabric dollhouse has an image of a house decorated for Christmas on the front. The back features the back yard of the house, with the fence, snow and Christmas garland. Open the snaps and the first internal scene is a red barn with a red truck. The second background scene is a kitchen, ready for Christmas baking. The third scene is a snowy street at night, lit by lanterns and featuring a red mailbox. Where does the mail go? To the next scene, the North Pole Mail office! Flip the fabric pages again, and you'll see the porch of a rustic cabin with logs and red plaid accents. The last scene is a snowy town street with colorful houses on both sides. 
The exterior bottom is faux gold leather, to add stability. 
 
The people and pets are also fabric, with a layer of felt interfacing between to give them stability. It includes men, women, boys and girls, 3 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 stacks of presents. They all fit in the zippered pocket with room to spare.

The canvas dollhouse is approximately 9 by 9 inches (not including the handles), and 1.5 inches thick. The people and pets are 1.5 to 3.5 inches in size. They are flat, so they easily store in the zippered pocket without adding bulkiness. The travel play set includes 18 people/pet/present pieces.
